Tiernan Douieb - Tiernan Douieb V's The World

Diminutive stand-up Tiernan Douieb takes his comedy in a brave new direction. For 30 years, Tiernan has blissfully ignored politics. Incredulous at the state of the world around him, he now finds himself on a steep political learning curve as he tackles everything from the coalition and the cuts to the burka and the Middle East. But plagued by the arguments and injustices he encounters, he wonders if ignorance might be bliss after all.
From having no interest in or knowledge about politics, Tiernan is throwing himself into his political awakening. He performed for UK Uncut during the March demonstrations hours before his audience stormed Fortnum and Mason, entertained students at the University College London occupation, and was asked to represent the Yes to AV campaign on Young People’s Question Time.
Also at Edinburgh this year, Tiernan presents Comedy Club 4 Kids (Bongo Club, 5.30pm) which he now runs, hosts and performs for, and a show for children with Tim FitzHigham (Pleasance).
As well as running and hosting Comedy Club 4 Kids, Tiernan performs regularly across the UK and abroad; hosts Fat Tuesday comedy club weekly in Islington; and is part of the highly acclaimed London Comedy Improv alongside Rufus Hound, Tara Flynn, Brendan Dempsey and Michael Legge.
He has supported Jim Jefferies, Russell Howard and worked as warm up for Mark Watson’s We Needs Answers and Dick and Dom’s Funny Business and, in 2009, invented and ran the world’s first ever Twitter Comedy Club with an estimated 14,000 viewers.
‘More than enough energy to go round… a hugely engaging onstage presence’ British Comedy Guide

Tiffany Stevenson - Cavewoman

Tiffany Stevenson is back at the fringe and back at The Stand with a brand new show, Cave Woman.
Have we really evolved? This is what Tiffany wants to know. In her 3rd solo show she poses important questions such as If necessity is the mother of invention, is that mother a MILF? And is our womanly journey from Suffragettes to WAG’s truly a survival of the fittest?
Tiffany is currently appearing in an ad for Ikea. Tiffany is also the co-creator (alongside Phil Nichol) and host of popular Edinburgh and London show Old Rope which consistently attracts some of the biggest names in comedy and last year in Edinburgh was a cast member of the hugely popular Celebrity Autobiography.
Before Stand-up Tiffany embarked on a career as an actress when she got her first agent at the age of 17, landing roles in FWTV, The Office, Chambers, Absolute Power and as the lead character Colleen in the gritty British Indie film Spinning Candyfloss. Along the way she has shared screen time with Stephen Fry, Ricky Gervais, Vincent Franklin, Nina Wadia and Jon Bird to name a few. She has recently appeared in the Dizzee Rascal video Dirty Cash.
“Hugely enjoyable class conscious comedy from this engaging young comic, with a nice line in catty putdowns” The Guardian
“one of the engaging female comics tackling politics and what it is to live in Britain today” The Independent
“Witty and inventive… a stroke of genius. A writer of great subtlety and originality” ✭✭✭✭ The Sunday Telegraph
“Had me and the rest of the audience in stitches” What’s on Stage

Comedy Club 4 Kids

A firm favourite at the festival, Comedy Club 4 Kids returns to Edinburgh in the excited, new hands of Tiernan Douieb. Comedy Club 4 Kids is the highest quality of comedy for everyone over the age of six. It sees the best and bravest comedians on the UK circuit doing what they do best but without the rude bits.
Comedy Club 4 Kids has been delighting children and their families since 2006. Six months ago, Tiernan Douieb - a regular Comedy Club 4 Kids performer - took over the reins from its founder. Bigger, bolder and more brilliant than ever, the Edinburgh show features three different comedians each day with occasional guest appearances from young graduates from the Comedy Club 4 Kids Academy in London.
Previous line-ups have included comedy greats such as Stephen K Amos, Brendon Burns, Jason Byrne, Rich Hall, Adam Hills, Robin Ince, Stewart Lee, Josie Long, Phil Nichol and Isy Suttie. Since 2009, Comedy Club 4 Kids has been resident at Soho Theatre in London, taking place fortnightly alongside the Academy run by Melissa O’Brien.
Tiernan Douieb: ‘Comedy Club 4 Kids never ever gets dull to host, with constantly brilliant audiences and watching amazing comedy acts do completely unexpected sets in order to cater for 6-11 year olds. I'm looking forward to another Fringe of introducing some of the best acts on the circuit and see them deal with heckles such as “you look like a duck” (Simon, aged 6).’
Frankie Brickmann (Comedy Academy 4 Kids student and performer, aged 14): 'The Comedy Academy 4 Kids has offered me the opportunity to perform in Edinburgh without bankrupting myself. Which would be problematic as a 14-year-old.'
‘laugh-your-socks-off comedy fit for the whole family, including parents and grandparents. Nobody will feel left out.’ The Scotsman
'the perfect way to entertain the whole family.' Three Weeks

Olivia Lee Chats Them Up

“OLIVIA LEE IS VERY VERY FUNNY” The Times
Olivia Lee, the star of Comedy Central’s hugely successful Dirty Sexy Funny and ex-girlfriend of Basil Brush makes her highly anticipated Edinburgh Festival Fringe debut this year with her very own chat show.
“THE UK’S ANSWER TO SARAH SILVERMAN” Grazia
Olivia Lee is one of Britain’s fastest-rising female comedy stars. She’s glamorous, sexy, mischievous and armed with razor-sharp wit. After training at The Central School of Speech and Drama, Olivia kick-started her career on the popular BBC children’s sitcom, The Basil Brush Show, playing the Brush’s girlfriend and she hasn’t looked back since (for fear that he's following her).
She got her big break on Channel 4’s hit comedy show Balls of Steel with her own slot called Prank TV with Miss Lee, where she demonstrated her fearlessness and ability to boldly go where many others would not dare. Off the back of this success she was offered to write and star in her own comedy vehicle for Channel 4, Olivia Lee’s Naughty Bits, which premiered on Channel 4 in 2008. This led to her own series, Olivia Lee: Dirty, Sexy, Funny – a showcase for Olivia’s comic characters which launched Comedy Central UK.
“FILTH WITH A BRAIN” Metro
The first series of Dirty Sexy Funny aired in 2010, and proved to be a hit, leading to an even more audacious second series which premiered in April 2011 on Comedy Central. The USA soon came calling and Olivia was recently invited to regularly appear on NBC’s The Tonight Show With Jay Leno where she can now been seen providing her own brand of outrageous comedy. She has also hosted the comedy game show Battle of the Bods which ran for three seasons on the FOX network in the US.
She is currently has a feature film in development with Ashton Kutcher’s production company and a sitcom script in development with Channel 4 and Brown Eyed Boy Productions. She reckons she's all that.

Sammy J and Randy in Ricketts Lane

From the acclaimed creators of the smash-hit cult comedy Sammy J in the Forest of Dreams comes a brand new musical comedy spectacular featuring Sammy J (skinny man, on the left) and Randy (purple puppet, the one on the right) as they navigate life in a share house. But when Sammy’s work as a tax lawyer uncovers some financial skeletons in Randy’s closet, things are going to get awkward at the breakfast table...
Winner of the prestigious Barry Award at the 2010 Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and following sell-out shows at the Sydney Opera House, upgrading to bigger venues and adding extra shows in Australia, this hilarious tale of domestic misadventure makes its long awaited UK debut at the 2011 Edinburgh Fringe.
With all previous shows sell-out 5 star hits at the festival, Sammy J and Heath McIvor bring yet another original show to Edinburgh and will undoubtedly once again be the talk of the Fringe.
SAMMY J
Sammy J is becoming a Fringe legend and in Australia his songs can frequently be heard on TV and radio. Sammy has been involved in several productions at the Fringe over the years including his own solo shows as well as the hit theatrical production ‘Breaker Morant’ alongside fellow Aussies Adam Hills and Brendan Burns. Sammy’s album “Sticky Digits”, recorded live at the Spiegeltent, is available now through iTunes. Sammy enjoys working alongside Randy as he believes himself to be the better looking one.
Sammy’s solo show, Potentially, is also apparently at the Fringe this year...

HEATH MCIVOR
At the 2009 Fringe Festival, Heath became renowned as one of the world’s most talented puppeteers with Randy’s Postcard’s From Purgatory. His career in theatre, film and television spans over the last 11 years and Heath often visits Cambodia to run puppeteering workshops with deaf children.
Randy first arrived in Edinburgh in 2008 where he popped up at a few late-night spots and now he returns for his second hour-long solo show as well as once again appearing with the skinny man, a painful notion now that he is sober.

Paul McCaffrey Saying Something Stupid

One of the most exciting new acts on the circuit, Paul McCaffrey has been scooping up the awards and accolades since he hit the scene just over two years ago. His assured delivery and beautifully observed material has won him a host of critical acclaim and new act finalist and winning positions. His first performance at a UK festival at Latitude bestowed him his last New Act award, one of many in an already rather hefty collection.
In his hotly anticipated debut solo show, Paul McCaffrey wants to share his penchant for saying the wrong thing. He’s basically a bit of an idiot, albeit one who doesn’t suffer fools gladly. Come and keep him company on the moral high ground. He’s a bit lonely there on his own! Paul’s darkly gleeful rants demonstrate his diversity as a performer and promise he’s a definite one-to-watch at this year’s Fringe.
Not only is Paul one of the UK’s most up-and-coming comics, he is also an accomplished actor appearing in film (Green Street, It’s a Casual Life) and theatre. He’s even featured in Oasis’ Lyla music video.

Keith Farnan - Money, Money, Money

Keith Farnan has established himself as one of the Fringe’s, and the circuits, most thought-provoking stand ups and this year’s show, Money Money Money, will prove no exception. Taking a long hard look at our obsession with money, Keith explores Ireland’s brief love affair with vast amounts of money and fiscal meltdown, and presents some cunning plans to repay the €85,000,000,000 Ireland now owes to Europe and the IMF. This may include hoodwinking Abba Fans into paying money to see a show that’s not about Abba, but sounds like it might be.
In the past year, Keith has toured the major economic hotspots of the world; Switzerland, China, Greece, and obviously Ireland. He tried to get into Iceland but it was a bit volcano-ey that day. Looking at how the world went from simple bartering souls to credit loving quadzillionaires, Keith asks what the price of happiness and love is, and why can’t we get a stock market going on emotions? Was Jesus a capitalist or a communist, and will we discover whether credit default swaps are really just financial swingers’ parties? Most importantly he’ll look at the devastating psychological effects money has had on the Irish psyche as it attempts to take itself, not just out of recession, but out of a depression as well. As we all know, there are no therapists in Ireland, only barmen. Even Freud said, “Psychoanalysis is of no benefit to the Irish.”Keith might just prove him wrong.
Keith’s previous shows, Sex Traffic (addressing women’s rights), No Blacks. No Jews. No Dogs. No Irish. All Welcome (on racism and fascism) and Cruel and Unusual (about the Death Penalty) enjoyed sell out runs at the Fringe, and subsequently the West End, and in the past year Keith has seen his success expand when he was invited to perform on Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow (BBC) last August and is currently filming an adaptation of his 2010 show, Sex Traffic, for Irish Television.
A former solicitor, Keith has the natural ability to delve into themes other comics may shy away from and it is this aptitude that is placing Keith in the lead of investigative comedians. He has been a regular guest on radio, both in Ireland and the UK, from BBC, RTE, Talk Sport, Today FM, Newstalk and all sorts of other warm and welcoming studios. His television credits include BBC 3’s “Most Annoying People”, ‘One Night Stand’ (BBC) and ‘Liffey Laughs’ (RTE), Michael McIntyre’s Roadshow (BBC1) and he has written for and performed in ‘The Insomniac Club” for BBC Radio as well as appearing on “Colin Murphy’s Great Unanswered Questions”(BBCNI).

Tim Fitzhigham - Gambler

Fringe favourite Tim FitzHigham reveals the ten strangest bets ever made and recounts his endeavours to recreate them. Inspired by bets from previous centuries recorded in the betting books of the most revered gentlemen’s clubs, Tim celebrates the nation’s love of gambling by attempting ten wagers including:
· Riding to Dover before Alex Horne can draw a million dots on a piece of paper. Tim and Alex discovered their shared awe for this legendary bet and recreated it – to unbelievable lengths - in April
· Standing on one leg for twelve hours, in a bet with Neil Morrissey (originally an 1815 bet)
· Pushing a wheelbarrow from Hertfordshire to Shoreditch in 11 hours, in a bet by Richard Hammond (as first attempted by the brilliantly named Goliath Shadbolt in 1789)
· Rolling a cheese board, 3 and three quarter miles in a bet with actor Hugo Speer (an 1811 bet)
· Racing a racehorse over 100 yards
· Walking backwards for 30 miles
At a time when the UK is reeling in the effects of some of the riskiest gambles ever made, Tim seeks to explore how and why we are all gamblers at heart – whether we like it or not.
This Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Tim also appears in Flanders and Swann, his much-loved homage to the musical maestros of the 40s and 50s and a show for children with Tiernan Douieb.
Tim is famed for imaginative and foolhardy missions including crossing the channel in a bathtub, ‘endurance’ Morris dancing from London to Norwich and rowing 160 miles down the Thames in a paper boat (all World Record breaking stunts). His previous acclaimed Edinburgh outings have earned him two Spirit of the Fringe Awards, a Perrier nomination for Best Newcomer, two Chortle Award nominations, a Three Weeks Editors Award and Critics Choices in most of the nation’s media including Telegraph, The Times, Sunday Times, Independent, Guardian, The Observer, The Scotsman, Scotland on Sunday, Evening Standard, Time Out and Metro.

Carl Donnelly 3 - Carl Donnelier

Truly one of the UK’s most up and coming comedians, Carl Donnelly returns to the Fringe with another year’s worth of tales of idiocy that critics and audiences have been flocking to see all over the UK. Two years ago, Carl was nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Newcomer, and this third solo show proves he is already one of the UK’s finest.
This year, Carl explores the struggle we have to not be self-conscious all the time. Should it matter what people think of you as long as you’re not actively going out of your way to upset people? We should accept who we are and worry less about what people think. Therefore, Carl’s going to be treating his audiences to some novelty dancing.
Since last August, the TV offers flooded in and Carl has appeared on Mock the Week (BBC), Stand-up for the Week (CH4), Dave’s One Night Stand (Dave) and The Comedy Store Live (Comedy Central). Previous television credits include Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC), Grouchy Young Men (Comedy Central) and That Was the Noughties (BBC3). Well, there’s just too much to mention these days so visit Carl’s website to see the rest...
Carl has toured with various comics from Russell Howard to Rhod Gilbert and was the first ever comedian to support a DJ when he opened for DJ Yoda on a string of high profile shows throughout the UK. He’s performed at all the international prestigious festivals from Melbourne to Sydney to Kilkenny, and his regular podcast with fellow comic Chris Martin was listed as one of the Guardian’s top ten comedy podcasts (www.carlandchris.podbean.com). Carl is a regular guest on Back End of Next Week (Five Live) every Sunday.

Michael Winslow - The Man with 10,000 Voices

A true Hollywood legend, best known for playing Sgt “Motor Mouth” Jones in the hugely successful Police Academy films, is coming to the Fringe this August for a month of staggering special effects, astounding sounds and a whirlwind of a show like nothing before.
The original vocal artist of the 20th century, Michael Winslow can imitate the impossible using only his voice. Whether it’s the frenzy of Jimmy Hendrix playing the guitar or a special treat for Star Wars fans, Michael is the master of vocal gymnastics.
Born in 1958 on Fairchild Air Force Base, Michael would imitate the airplane noises and jet engines and soon he was on stage at Tulagi’s, Colorado, where Jimmy Hendrix, The Doors, and various other famous bands had played. Hearing that a group of Jimmy Hendrix fans were present, he decided to portray him and, from the ovation and applause that followed, Michael knew his calling.
Whilst living homeless in Venice Beach, Michael auditioned for the Gong Show, hosted bythe infamousChuck Barris, and soon moved on to LA to perform in the local comedy clubs. It was here that he was discovered by Bud Friedman, founder of the renowned New York Improvisation Comedy Club and who has in the past launched the careers of the likes of Bette Midler, Andy Kaufman and Jay Leno. Friedman featured Michael in the famousEvening at the Improv and in 1984 producers Hugh Wilson and Paul Manslanski witnessed his talent and immediately wrote him into the script of the unforgettable Police Academy movies.
A star was born, and Michael went on to provide the voice of Stripe in Stephen Spielberg’s Gremlins, and to star in National Lampoon’s Robo Doc and Mel Brooks’ Spaceballs, You can also hear him in various episodes of Family Guy, King Of The Hill!, The Simpsons, and Robot Chicken.
Michael is currently starring in the South African Cadbury’s Lunch Bar campaign which was written with only Michael in mind (check it out on YouTube!), and Nu Line Cinema have announced the making of another Police Academy movie…

Sammy J - Potentially

Fresh from the Montreal Just for Laughs festival, award winning Fringe favourite Sammy J returns with a freshly baked tray of stories, songs, and quizzical expressions. You are welcome to join him. Anything could happen. You will enjoy it... potentially.
Reeling from a cult smash hit with Sammy J in the Forest of Dreams and never looking back, Sammy J is fast becoming one of the Fringe’s skinniest, but by no means, smallest, legends. His 2009 solo show 1999 received rave reviews and sell-out audiences, last year’s Skinny Man, Modern World repeated the whole process (there is a rumour that Sammy was even mobbed by a greengrocer. If you saw the show, you’d understand), cementing his emergent reputation as one of the most exciting and inventive comics on the international circuit.
Born in 1983 without incident, Sammy spent his teenage years avoiding alcohol, watching Disney films, and writing songs about his teachers. At 15 he performed awkwardly on an Australian TV talent show, but it wasn’t until 2003 that Sammy formally arrived on the stand-up circuit. His first solo show won the Best Newcomer award at the 2006 Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and since then regular television appearances in his homeland have won him a swag of followers, alongside his award-winning collaborations with puppeteer Heath McIvor. He has most recently released a solo DVD, "58 Kilograms of Pure Entertainment", and has also launched the ridiculously ambitious 50 Year Show, a comedy spectacular that will continue until 2058.

Matt Kirshen - Wide-Eyed

After a hugely successful couple of years touring the world and forging a career in the States, Matt Kirshen is returning to the Edinburgh Fringe with his brand new show Wide-Eyed.
Matt used to know nothing, but now at 31, he knows LOADS more and is as smart as he has ever been. However, he’s still an idiot. Join Matt as he explores his own embarrassments, his increasing self-awareness and unashamed enjoyment of realising that actually, he knows nothing and is blissfully worldly naïve.
Matt Kirshen's precision wit has already earned him an impressive reputation on the international comedy circuit. Most recently his appearance as a finalist on NBC's Last Comic Standing has earned him a whole new host of fans in the United States and a surprising number of other countries worldwide.
He has also recorded a half-hour special for the World Stands Up, (Comedy Central), and has acclaimed festival appearances at Montreal, Kilkenny, Glastonbury, Reading, Leeds and Amsterdam and has appeared on hit US show Craig Ferguson (CBS).
His debut CD, "I Guess We'll Never Know" was named in Punchline Magazine's top 10 albums of 2009. Matt has appeared in and written for numerous television shows in the UK, including a charity gala featuring Jimmy Fallon, which resulted in Jimmy himself requesting Matt to open for him in a college tour of the USA (7000 seat venues) to promote his new Late Night hosting slot. He has also just recorded the second series of the critically acclaimed Bigipedia for BBC Radio 4.
His youthful looks disguise a veteran comic with almost a decade of experience, and a wealth of smart, funny and relatable material.
“A roller coaster of comedy genius….Hugely impressive” The Scotsman
“His innocent looks bely a sharp, surreal and gloriously sick mind” Metro
"His likeability almost goes off the scale" – Chortle
"Neurotically energetic and confessional- a name to watch" - Daily Telegraph
"His performance is the perfect mix of innocence and post-adolescent cynicism driven by infectious energy." Metro Life Magazine

Randy is Sober

We were all so excited at the prospect of seeing one of the world’s leading puppeteers return to the Fringe last year that, when he landed a television series that kept him in his homeland Australia for the month of August, it was extremely hard to wish him well. But, those hard feelings have almost passed, and RANDY IS BACK...
From the award-winning puppeteer and co-creator of "Sammy J in the Forest of Dreams" comes an all-new comedy show starring Randy, the felt-faced misanthrope. The former alcoholic children’s entertainer is off the booze and on the wagon this summer, looking at the world through the disgruntled eyes of a reformed boozehound. Its puppet stand-up as you’ve never seen it before.
Sammy J and the Forest of Dreams won the audiences and critics of 2008, Heath McIvor's last solo show, Randy's Postcards From Purgatory, was the cult hit of 2009, and both shows sold out their entire runs and launched Heath as the Fringe’s favourite puppeteer. In Australia, Heath and Sammy J won The Age Critics Award, a Barry Award nomination and a Golden Gibbo Award nomination, and last year they landed the Barry Award with their new show Ricketts Lane, also at the Fringe this summer following a run at the Sydney Opera House. A major member of Australian children’s theatre company Polygot Theatre, Heath also has much TV experience, most recently as Fiend in Tiger Aspects & Jim Henson Company’s Me and My Monsters (CBBC)

Glenn Wool - No Lands Man

Thank God. Glenn Wool is back at the fringe.
Picture this. The year is 2008. A delighted Wool has been nominated for the Chortle 'Best Headliner' award along with Jim Jefferies, Michael McIntyre, and Rhod Gilbert. Drunkenly crawling off a flight from Shanghai, he goes directly to the ceremony and loses.... to Michael McIntyre.
After spending all night at the bar and vomiting on the bar, the floor, the walls and the stairs of the beautiful function space, Glenn decides he’s had enough. Literally and spiritually he goes home.
Back in North America he stops drinking and starts again, then stops again, ad nauseum. Who knows where Glenn would be if he'd stayed in the UK with those other fairly successful chaps from that nominee list? Impossible to know. However, what we do know is where he’s been after that. For the last three years Glenn has been travelling the world from Ireland to Australia, via India, NZ, Singapore, HK, China, Holland, Dubai, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, America, Canada, Indonesia, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Malaysia, cracking jokes, getting in scrapes with Indonesian customs officers, watching beavers, seeing ufos in Manhattan, visiting the Creation Museum in Kentucky and everything in between.
A pioneer of the world circuit and with no fixed abode, this show will let you peep through the window into a life jam packed with experiences, distilled to perfection and poured into a laughter packed hour of straight up honest stand up comedy.
“Wool is extraordinarily funny – side-splittingly, jaw-hurtingly funny” Time Out, Sydney, Australia
“Effortlessly funny with an affability other comics can only dream of. You have to go and see Glenn Wool” Brian Logan The Guardian, UK
“There's so much of Glenn's show to love and with a central theme, everything felt cohesive and sparkling. Do yourself a favour and book in to see Glenn now” TVNZ, New Zealand
“Feisty, opinionated and very entertaining” Time Out, Mumbai, India

Jason John Whitehead - Letters from Mandy

They say there is a downward spiral, they say there are five steps to recovering from heartbreak, they say a lot of things, but one thing they can definitely say is that award-winning Canadian comic Jason John Whitehead has returned with another uncompromising stand up show.
“A genuine gift for saying the most outrageous things in the most disarmingly charming fashion” The Sun
The past year has really sucked for JJ, trapped by a volcanic ash cloud that somehow led to the end of his thus-far pretty near perfect five year relationship, he’s had a year to look back, take stock and wonder what the hell happened.
Tragedy + Time = Comedy. So this will be funny.
“Few late-night comics look this good” **** The Scotsman
Jason John Whitehead has been performing his brand of stand-up comedy all over the world for the past 12 years. He is a regular at comedy festivals in Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, UK, the Netherlands and his home country of Canada. A regular headliner on the British and club circuit, Jason has headlined prestigious clubs such as The Comedy Store, Jongleurs, Highlight, The Glee Club, and ... well all of them really Jason’s brand new CD The Difficult Seconds is out now on The Comedy Store label, and a DVD recorded at The Comedy Store in Australia is due out soon.
“In Jason John Whitehead, unpretentious stand-up may have met its unlikely saviour.” **** Fest
“Intensely likeable and seriously funny” **** The List
“Whitehead’s outrageously immature antics combined with his self-deprecating wit makes him well worth a look” **** Edinburgh Evening News

Papa CJ: One in a Billion

Born the son of a tea planter in India, Papa CJ spent his childhood at a boarding school in the Himalayas before going on to complete an MBA at the University of Oxford. Five years into a successful corporate career in London, he threw it all in to become a stand-up comedian.
Now widely recognised as the global face of cutting-edge Indian stand-up comedy and one of Asia’s leading comedians, Papa CJ has gone on to tour sell-out shows across four continents and, in 2008, he represented India on NBC’s TV Show Last Comic Standing where, from amongst the thousands of global comedians who took part, he was placed in the top ten. He was also the first Indian comedian ever to be invited to perform at the pretigious Just for Laughs Festival in Canada in 2008.
Outside of his own continent, Papa CJ’s comedy has been seen by over 10 million people. His TV credits include shows on various channels including Comedy Central, Paramount, ITV, BBC, The Comedy Channel, and MTV. He has also been invited as a guest on multiple radio shows across the globe, including NPR in the USA and the BBC.
In the wake of such success, Papa CJ has not forgotten his roots. He uses comedy as a vehicle to support underprivileged children in India, getting them out of child labour and bringing them back into the formal schooling system. His registered charity One Child, which was founded by Papa CJ in 200… and has been largely funded since through his comedy, has been successfully supporting a village of over 5000 people in West Bengal in India for over 6 years.
Papa CJ has also been instrumental in expanding the live stand-up comedy circuit in India at both an amateur and professional level. PRESS:

PUPPETRY OF THE PENIS RETURNS TO THE UK!
First – Ever Live Comedy Act to Incorporate 3D Technology
See The Ancient Australian Art of Genital Origami as you’ve Never Seen It Before
Now in its second dickade, the outrageously funny PUPPETRY OF THE PENIS featuring two strapping Australians, David ‘Friendy’ Friend and Simon Morley , who bend, twist and manipulate their genitals into various objects and landmarks, has broken all box office records worldwide. And now back with a brand new show enhanced using the very latest 3D technology, this global sensation is about to embark on a UK wide tour of PUPPETRY OF THE PENIS 3Dthat will bring to life the duo’s theatrical contortions as you’ve never seen them before.
Wearing 3D glasses for the duration of this mind-blowing, hilarious show, audiences will gain a whole new perspective on the pair’s legendary genital gesticulations such as the Eiffel Tower, The Windsurfer and even edible delights like their signature dish, The Hamburger - as every intimate shape will be captured on video camera, projected onto a large screen and then enhanced using special 3D effects, to create larger than life images that are so real you could almost reach out and cop a feel!
Simon Morley of Puppetry of the Penis, said: “We’ve always wanted to see how far we could stretch Puppetry of the Penis: We’ve toured the globe and now, just when you thought it’d couldn’t get any more intimate, we’ve decided to tackle a whole new dimension. Cave men practicing the ancient art of genital origami could never have imagined that one day 3D technology would enhance their private experimentation for such shockingly good public entertainment, which is exactly why we’ve done it.”
David ‘Friendy’ Friend and Simon Morley premiered their first show at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 1998 to great critical acclaim. An eight month sell-out tour of Australia followed, with sell-out seasons in Melbourne and Sydney. Since then they've taken the West End by storm twice and performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for eight consecutive sell-out years and played to some 10 million people across the globe, in five different languages and in 30 countries.
What the press has said…
“Charming…extraordinary…DON’T TRY THIS AT HOME” The Guardian
“Does exactly what it says in the packet UNBELIEVABLE" The Times
"The lovable and energetic duo wins big points for getting a rise out of impervious New Yorkers.” NY Times
“Dementedly good fun” Vanity Fair
Warning: Puppetry of the Penis is an adults-only, non-sexual show featuring full-frontal male nudity.

Tom Green - World Comedy Tour

From his anything-goes run as the funniest, most unpredictable personality on MTV (The Tom Green Show) to his unforgettable roles in uproarious film comedies including Road Trip and Freddy Got Fingered, Tom Green is one of Hollywood’s most unconventional comedians and, in his recent return to stand up, he is heading straight for the Udderbelly at the Fringe this summer for a limited run only.
Born in Ontario, Canada, Tom’s first bout with fame came as a rapper with hip hop group Organized Rhyme, but he soon discovered his ability to crack up audiences and his career has since spanned from appearing on the cover of Rolling Stone to guest-hosting The Late Show with David Letterman and Saturday Night Live. He’s conquered the internet with his free-wheeling, wildly popular internet talk show Tom Green's House Tonight. He’s even jumped through a ring of fire on a skate board on America’s Got Talent.
On Entertainment Tonight, Tom announced that he had been diagnosed with testicular cancer and went on to produce the critically acclaimed part documentary, part comedy and part drama, The Tom Green Cancer Special, where the removal of one of his testicles was shown in its entirety.
Now, Tom brings his unique brand of hilarity to the art of stand-up comedy. Experience one of the great comic minds in the field of entertainment, live and in person, when Tom Green takes the stage and provides non-stop laughter with his brilliantly cracked view of the world around him.
